The GenRad 1539-A Stroboslave is a fundamental stroboscope source, suitable for motion studies and high-speed photography. It's versatile for most stroboscope applications, excluding tachymetry. Multiple Stroboslaves can be used when several light sources are needed. With the reflector removed, the strobotron lamp assembly can fit into a hole as small as a thumb, allowing access to otherwise inaccessible areas. The 1539-A is a compact electronic stroboscope, lacking an internal oscillator for flash rate adjustment, thus unable to function as a tachymeter. It operates directly from a switch closure, a 1537-A photoelectric trigger, a 1531-P2 instant delay (with a 1536-A photo), or a positive electrical pulse of at least 2 volts peak. Additionally, it works directly from the output of GenRad 1531, 1538, or 1546.
