Franciscan Madeira 12 inch oval serving platter, Green Brown Floral Mid Century MCM, excellent condition.
Gorgeous earthenware serving platter glazed in dark brown and patterned with swirling vines and flowers. Madeira by Franciscan, first introduced in 1967 features a smooth chocolatey glaze that becomes the canvas for olive green bands, vines, leaves and flowers. Inspired by the Portuguese island of Madeira, the warmth and simplicity of this earthenware brings the Mid Century Mediterranean to your table.
Platter appears unused. The Franciscan stamp on the bottom places production of this piece to early 1970. It was manufactured by Interpace in Los Angeles California.
