Star Wars #13 plus VARIANT PINK COVER, 1978.

This is a set of two vintage Star Wars #13, one the common version, and second with a different variant color scheme in the background. I've never seen this color variant anywhere else, and looking around the Internet, I still don't.

Note the second image is the common one with blue background, purple lightsaber and dark green lizards. The first image is the variant cover with pink/gray background, pink lightsaber and light green lizards. In 45 years of comic book collecting, I haven't seen this example again. Interior pages look the same.

Note condition issues:
13 (common blue) - some color-breaking folding on lower left.
13 (variant cover) - Small bit missing on cover, upper right above letter "P"

Both are newsstand copies I bought at the same time in 1978.
